The Human Rights Campaign is continuing to work against discrimination
by defeating a proposed discriminatory amendment to the U.S.
Constitution that would ban marriage for same-sex couples. The Bush
administration and the far right are trying to amend the Constitution
to discriminate against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT)
families. This would be the first time the Constitution was amended to
take away the rights of a group of people.
Far right-wing coalitions are mobilizing, organizing and gaining
support for this hateful amendment. Already, some states have amended
their state constitutions to permanently deny full equality to GLBT
families.
Help HRC fight discrimination; work with us to block this amendment.
