Kat graduated from the University of Virginia with degrees in American Politics and Media Studies.  She started with the Fund in July 2007 as the Canvass Director in Chapel Hill, NC where she ran campaigns for Environment North Carolina, NCPIRG and the Human Rights Campaign.  She and her canvassers helped North Carolina to take the first step towards passing Clean Cars legislation for the state, which would drastically cut global warming pollution.  Kat is currently directing the Seattle canvass office, running a campaign with Environment Washington to protect the Puget Sound.
