“Canvassing has allowed me to speak with tens of thousands of citizen throughout America about issues that directly impact them. I am not only able to educate people about problems like global warming, discrimination and consumer safety, I'm also able to give them a chance to take action and to have their voices heard in the democratic arena… to literally ensure that public policies reflect the interests of public citizens.”
